Horizon Honors Hosts Humane Society Drive

Donate to aid all the birds, snakes, cats, and dogs that the Humane Society helps each day.

Horizon Honors is doing an animal care drive from April 22 to May 10. They are accepting many items related to pets, including old towels, toys, unopened pet food, collars, leashes, blankets, or anything else that could go toward the benefit of a pet. You can donate these items in the front office or the media center.

All of the donated items go to the Arizona Humane Society to help them give animals a second chance at life. They explain that they work day in and day out to properly care for  homeless animals, and could not do it without community support and donations. Their mission states that, “Every pet deserves a good life. With a vision to end animal suffering, we rescue, heal, adopt and advocate for sick, injured and abused animals.” Their long-term goal is to eliminate animal suffering, which won’t be possible without school-wide involvement. Please don’t hesitate to donate; even the smallest things can make a difference to a four-legged friend!
