Taking pictures with your friends can be very entertaining. Incorporating props and backdrops give your photos different themes and settings. Photo booths at the mall can be expensive and limit the amount of space you get to use. Making one at home will save you money and lets you take a creative set of pictures. If you’re looking for something fun to do, the ten minute set up is easy to do at sleepovers or when hanging out.
Props or decorations
Fishing wire (optional)
PVC pipes and a sheet
To make this photo set the first thing you’ll need is a place to hang a backdrop. If you have a green screen stand it will be the easiest, but a blank wall, or sheet can also be used. To use a sheet you need fishing wire, clothespins, and two places to tie the wire two so it will be straight. Clipping a sheet by the corners with clothespins will hold the backdrop in place. If you have a plain backdrop you could hang streamers, lights, ornaments, posters, or signs to give it extra detail. Props give your photo the personality it needs to make it special. You can use anything: holiday decor, Halloween costumes, balloons, jewelry, sports wear, wigs, or actual photo props. Taping stickers or pictures on skewers or popsicle sticks can be used as homemade signs. The last thing you’ll need is a camera. A phone, webcam, or self timer on your camera can all be used without needing a photographer.
