The Horizon Sun

Pradyoth Velagapudi is currently a seventh grader at Horizon Honors and has gone there since kindergarten; this is his first year as a columnist for The Horizon Sun. He is of Indian origin and lives in Ahwatukee with his eight-year-old brother (who also goes to Horizon Honors) and his parents.

Velagapudi is excited for the opportunity to express himself in Journalism. Outside of journalism, his interests include acting, biking, soccer, learning about natural science, studying mathematics, playing the saxophone, and reading. He is an avid reader and won Battle of the Books 2015-16. His favorite book series are “Harry Potter” and “Percy Jackson,” and his favorite film series are the “Dark Knight” trilogy, “The Lord of the Rings” series, and the “Star Wars” saga.
