The Horizon Sun

Kalyn McLeod
Kalyn McLeod is currently a seventh grader at Horizon Honors Secondary School. This is her first year in Journalism. She loves to write, and is excited to see what she can do while writing this year.

McLeod is a huge animal lover. So much so, in fact, that she wants her career to be focused around animals. She especially loves her labradoodle, Skye. McLeod is a competitive gymnast and swimmer. Outside of sports, she loves hanging out with friends. Several of her friends take part in the National Charity League (NCL) with her. NCL is a great program to meet new girls and do community service, which allows her to help others. McLeod started the Elementary Service Club, which she still mentors to this day. McLeod is passionate about school, taking several honors classes, and is hoping to take more in the future. She is nervous, but excited, to take on the challenge of middle school.
