Nessah Wendt, Columnist
Nessah Wendt is a 7th grader at Horizon Honors, and is a first year columnist for the Horizon Sun. She joined journalism as a fun activity with the intent of improving her writing skills. In addition to journalism, she is in two honors classes as well as an acting class. Wendt also enjoys global studies and math. She has joined a few school clubs as well, including the calligraphy club, baking club, Kindness Krew, and Video Broadcasting. Aside from academics, Wendt enjoys sewing, acting, music, painting, photography, and playing with her four pets: Bowie, a chocolate labrador, SugarCake, a Chihuahua/Pug mix, Alaska, a spotted tabby cat, and Bubbles, a white Syrian hamster. She also loves spending time with her two older sisters, Ellie, who is 22 years old, and Cali, who is 21 years old, and her mom, who is a third grade teacher. Over the Covid-19 pandemic, Wendt spent time sewing and selling face masks in her neighborhood. She charged $2 for each mask and made over $180 in sales. Another one of her favorite hobbies is Photography. She enjoys taking pictures of her pets, especially her cat and hamster. If Wendt isn't sewing or doing something with her pets, she can be found playing “Animal Crossing.” Wendt is looking forward to the upcoming school year.
