Infinity War Is the End

Over the past ten years, Marvel Studios has brought countless names and films to the screen, such as Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk. Along the way, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) gained many fans that are what help the franchise grow and thrive. Robert Downey Jr. started it all as Iron Man ten years ago, and since then, there have been over 18 movies. But, now, the actors must hang up their capes as Avengers: Infinity War comes into theaters.

Robert Downey Jr. signed a contract ten years ago to become a part of the MCU and in a few months, it will expire. Many fans are wondering what will happen to him and Chris Evans, whose contract will also expire soon. It is entirely possible that either Iron Man or Captain America (or both) could die during Infinity War, which would destroy the hearts of many fans. According to Den of Geek, these expirations could also mean the signing of new contracts that could last even longer, keeping the MCU alive. Both these actors are Marvel’s main attraction, so it is highly likely that they will sign new contracts with Marvel and stay superheroes.

Whatever the case, it sounds like MCU will pass the torch on to new heroes eventually. Future Guardians of the Galaxy and Spider-Man movies are sure to knock fan’s socks off, and new characters such as Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Captain Marvel may get sequels as well. The studio has over 7,000 Marvel characters in the comics to choose from, as well the characters from the Netflix series, so it should be alright if just a few heroes go into retirement.
