Carter Hanson is a 14-year-old freshman at Horizon Honors; it's his 10th year at the school. The 2024-2025 school year marks his second year taking Journalism. Hanson joined Journalism because he likes to learn new things and share them with other people. Hanson has been playing the trumpet for the Horizon Concert Band for three years. It is also his first year on the Horizon Honors Swim Team. Some of his favorite hobbies include playing guitar, playing video games such as “Hollow Knight”, and listening to music. A few of his favorite artists are The Score, Good Kid, and I Prevail. Hanson has a sister named Neela. Hanson has no pets, however, if he could have a pet, he would want a tortoise. Something Hanson is looking forward to in Journalism is researching and informing people about his interests.
