Elly Proctor, Columnist

Elly Proctor is a sophomore at Horizon Honors and is in her first year of Journalism. Proctor has been going to Horizon Honors since kindergarten. She enjoys reading and is excited to be writing articles this year. She plays for Desert Vista’s junior varsity lacrosse and hockey team. Proctor works as a hockey referee. Proctor is also very involved on campus, as a member of the Speech and Debate team and Student Council Sophomore Class Representative. She enjoys singing as a member of the Horizon Honors Cantabile Honors Choir and also takes private voice lessons. Outside of school, Proctor enjoys community service and is a volunteer for Saving One Life cat rescue. Proctor also works occasionally as a long term pet sitter. She enjoys reading, especially fantasy books. Her favorite movies are the “Pitch Perfect” trilogy and the “Harry Potter” series. Proctor has five pet parrots: Loki, Fury, Turkey, Jim, and Dwight. She enjoys spending time with her mom and dad. Proctor also has an older brother, Liam Proctor, who attends college at the Air Force Academy as a freshman. Proctor hopes to attend law school after high school and become a lawyer.
