Logan Safranek is in her junior year at Horizon Honors. Safranek is a columnist for The Horizon Sun and this is her first year in Journalism. She has always loved to write, and is constantly looking for opportunities to improve her storytelling. She has a great passion for art and music, and has been pursuing these passions for as long as she can remember. She has been playing the piano for nearly seven years and has been drawing since she could hold a pencil. To this day, much of her free time is spent doing either of those things. Safranek is also a big fan of baking. However, this is sometimes made difficult by her celiac disease. Even so, she is good at finding workarounds, and the end result, through trial and error, is often just as good as its glutenous counterpart. She loves to share her food and her recipes with others. Safranek is ecstatic to be writing for The Horizon Sun and cannot wait to explore her passions through a reporter’s lens.
