Marcel DeGraff

Marcel DeGraff, Columnist

Marcel DeGraff is an eighth grader attending Horizon Honors, and this is his first year in Journalism. He takes part in multiple clubs such as Black Student Union (BSU) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). He is kind, hardworking, makes terrible but great dad jokes, and loves to make people laugh. He’s great when it comes to completing tasks, whether it’s school work, a sport, or even a goal. One of his characteristics that stands out is that he makes sure he stays on top of all of his grades and that he always puts in the effort that’s needed. Some of DeGraff’s favorite classes are English, Computer Science, and Journalism. Outside of school, you can see DeGraff drawing, researching and building his soon-to-be web shooters, or playing video games such as “Fortnite” and “The Legend of Zelda”. Some of his favorite restaurants include Chipotle, Red Robin, and In-N-Out. On top of that, DeGraff attends all of his BSU and NJHS meetings to ensure that he commits to his duties, and stays true to his community. All in all, Marcel cares about people, and wants to make a difference, in and out of school.
