Mateo Olmos, Columnist

Mateo Olmos is a second-year columnist for The Horizon Sun. He is 13-years-old and is in eighth grade. Olmos’s hobbies include playing video games, playing the guitar with his dad, wrestling with his brother, studying, and reading. His favorite series to read is “Wings of Fire,” and he also enjoys reading about different conspiracy theories.  His favorite things to write about are animals and games. Olmos loves all his classes, especially math and science. He is sometimes introverted and can get nervous talking in front of lots of people, but can also be quite chatty at times. He has played soccer and been in karate in the past, but currently he has an interest in swimming. Olmos loves animals such as dinosaurs and dragons. Despite having many interests and favorites, Olmos has a strong dislike for trouble makers and spaghetti. He is always ready to help others, especially students and friends, which is highlighted by his work in Journalism.
