Renee Soto is in their second year as a columnist with The Horizon Sun. They joined journalism because they like to write and research information of various genres. Soto is a student in ninth grade at Horizon Honors. They plan on playing golf for the Horizon Honors team in the spring. Soto strives to get a bachelor’s degree in business and a minor in psychology. Soto has an affinity for flowers; alliums are their favorite because of the vibrant purple and properties of energy and caffeine. However, their favorite form of caffeine is coffee of almost any type, often preferring a blonde espresso. They’re excited to write articles on social media and a variety of different music artists. Soto is a fan of many niche artists such as Undecided, OrgansDotOrg, and Good Kid. Punk music is their favorite because it is made to inform and get their points across. They incorporate this intro their writing about news, poetry, and even novels. Soto is enthralled to be writing for The Horizon Sun.
