Yash Patil is a 13-year-old student in the eighth grade at Horizon Honors. Patil recently joined Horizon and this is his first year as a columnist in journalism class. Patil enjoys writing articles about weather, crime, and natural disasters. Outside of school, Patil likes to play basketball and the piano. In California, Patil used to play piano at retirement community homes so the elderly can feel important and have a fun time by listening to music. Patil also played club table tennis and played in multiple tournaments back Los Angeles.
