A Trip to Europe
This upcoming spring break, Horizon Honors students will travel to Dublin, Wales, London, and Paris for ten days. They will tour landmarks such as the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, Trinity College, St. Paul’s Cathedral, and various European castles.
All students in high school are welcome to attend- all they need to do is attend the travel club meetings. The cost of the trip is approximately $3,400, which includes two meals each day, airfare, hotels, tour guides, and miscellaneous necessities.
Students can fundraise with tax credits, which can be donated by tax-paying adults. At school, students will sell Jamba Juice and doughnuts, and they can also earn money independently. Payments for the trip will be due around late November.
Melinda Buttrey, the travel club sponsor, says her favorite part of past trips has been getting to know the students in a nonacademic setting.
There was a meeting on Sept. 9 for parents to receive initial information. If you are interested in joining, please contact teachers Janet McKinney or Melinda Buttrey as soon as possible.
