Culinary Hearts Cookbook
The Culinary Hearts Cookbook is on sale now. The cookbook, created by the Horizon Honors Culinary class, is full of every recipe the class has made this year. It also includes some of the students’ favorite family recipes to “make it more personal,” according to Tamara Heinrich, Culinary Arts Instructor.
Anyone can purchase one of these books filled with treats on every page for just $10. The deadline for purchasing one of these cookbooks is Feb. 21. The Hearts cookbook won’t arrive until mid May so that all the recipes the students cook throughout the year can be included.
The proceeds from the book will help to fund supplies and activities for the class. One of these activities includes a trip to the Culinary Arts Institute of Arizona. Students will get to learn about careers in culinary arts and get to tour the campus on April 28. “The field trip is really one of the reasons I wanted it to be a fundraiser so the students who wanted cooking to be a part of their career could experience this,” Heinrich states.
Hannah really like to play sports and watch Netflix. Some days she will stay inside and eat food while watching movies on her computer. Other days Hannah will go outside and play basketball and ride her bike. Hannah thinks it is too hot in the afternoon to ride her bike for hours like she does in the spring, fall, or winter. She also likes to listen to take pictures with her new Nikon D3200 camera she just bought. She is a very interesting person.
