Yearbook Distribution

Yearbooks were distributed on Tuesday, May 22 and let me just say, it was a success!

There were smiling faces all around campus looking at our Horizon Honors 2017-2018 yearbooks when they were distributed this Tuesday. Students from every grade bought books and were pleased with the yearbook staff’s year-long hard work to make this amazing book come to life. High school sold a total of 179 books and won the National Yearbook Program of Excellence award from Jostens for the 5th year in a row. I interviewed Junior, Blake Benefiel (yearbook editor) to get his views on the yearbook distribution:

Horizon Sun: How do you think the sales went this year?

Blake Benefiel, 11: I think sales went very well this year; we sold a ton of books after distribution and they are still being sold.

HS: What was the best part about the book this year?

BB: I would say the cover. Not just because I designed it but because it is way different that anything we’ve ever done before.

HS: What was the most challenging part of creating the yearbook this year?

BB: Definitely making deadlines, but we pulled through and that’s how we won our National Yearbook Program award!

Yearbooks are still on sale in the office or in Mrs. Britt’s room (127) for $70 and will be continuing through the end of the year.
