Pear Pizzazz is Pure Perfection
November 9, 2017
Pear Pizzazz is one of my favorite family recipes that the whole family enjoys. The sweetness of the cinnamon sugar and the saltiness of the pretzel crust works to complement the flavor of the pears, and is sure to become an autumnal classic for your family, too.
Ingredients & Materials:
9” cake pan
Crust:
- ¾ cup butter
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 ½ cups crushed pretzels
Filling:
- 8 oz. cream cheese, soft
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- ½ tsp. vanilla
Toppings:
- 2 cans of pears (sliced/drained)
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- To make the crust, combine butter, brown sugar, and pretzels in a bowl. Press into the pan and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
- To make the filling, whip together cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla. Spread evenly on crust.
- Combine the sugar and cinnamon. Lay the pears on top of the filling, and sprinkle generously with cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 25-35 minutes.
