Cross Country Sprints for State

Senior Mikaela Martin completed at the AIA Division IV State Cross Country Meet, and was the only student to represent Horizon Honors. Martin finished in 13th place at the meet, which took place Cave Creek Golf Course Saturday, Nov. 9.
Martin ran the 3.1 mile course in 20:28:36. She had hoped for a better time, but “practice and training from this year’s team did help a lot,” said Martin. Her best time of the season was 19:11:05 at the Nike Twilight Pre-Southwest meet.
