Leo Yee, Editor of Politics & Student Opinion

Leo Yee is a junior at Horizon Honors in their first year as an editor for The Horizon Sun and second year of journalism. Yee has a passion for informing others about historical and contemporary issues which they enjoy doing through essays and articles. One of their favorite pastimes is listening to music and they are constantly looking to expand their taste, with their current favorite genres being jazz, grunge, doom metal, and rockabilly. Yee is involved in Horizon’s theater productions and Speech and Debate team. Outside of school, they volunteer with a variety of organizations and read books of all genres. They greatly enjoy being a member of one•n•ten’s youth advisory council, helping develop and participate in events for LGBTQ+ youth across Arizona. After graduation, Yee hopes to pursue a career in archivism.
