Middle School A-Team 1st Volleyball Game
The next “B” team game is at 4:00 on September 3rd. The “A” team game is right after them at 5:00.
On August 29th was the 1st “A team” girl’s volleyball game. It was against Bethany Christian’s “A-team”. The middle school girl volleyball tryouts started on August 19th and ended on the 23rd. The “A” team consists of 9 players and all of them happen to be 8th graders. The girls only had 2 days of volleyball practice to prepare for this game. Having a new coach, Mr. Dinardo ( Mrs. Dinardo’s dad), means the girls and the coach need to all bond and be prepared for the next season ahead. Knowing they only had 2 practices before the 1st game, the girls really practiced hard and had to step up their game. Coming into the game against Bethany Christian, the “A” team was pretty confident. During the game, all the girls worked together and played with teamwork. Doing so, the girls finished the game with a win! All of them were very happy as well as the coach. Each and every one of the girls had to contribute to the team. The team is ready to work hard over the weekend to prepare themselves for the next game on Tuesday. This upcoming game is in the HCLC gym on September 3rd. Ready to come and cheer on the Eagles!
One of her major hobbies is sports. At her old school she participated in volleyball, basketball, softball, cross country, and track. This year at HCLC Erica plans on participating in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Outside of school she is on a volleyball team for East Valley Juniors. This will be her 2nd year with that club and is really excited to start up again in November. Erica enjoys volleyball a lot and plans on to continue playing it in the future.
For one of Erica's electives she chose Journalism. She chose it because she wanted to improve in her writing and photography skills. Erica is not that great at writing and thought it would be a good opportunity for her. She is in Journalism 1-2 and currently a columnist. Erica looks forward to improving her journalism skills.
