Don’t Pucker at These Lemon Squares

These lemon squares are the perfect treat for any occasion. With the combined sweetness of the sugar and the sourness of the lemon, these bars hit the spot every time.
Ingredients:
Crust
- 1 cup butter, softened
- ½ cup white sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
Filling
- 4 eggs
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- ¼ cup flour
- 2 lemons, juiced
- 2 tbsp lemon zest
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 ℉.
- In a medium sized bowl, combine the butter, sugar and flour. Press the crust mixture into a pan and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- While the crust is baking, combine the eggs, sugar, flour, lemons, and lemon zest in a large bowl.
- When the crust comes out of the oven, pour the filling over the crust and bake for an additional 20 min.
- The bars will firm as they cool (5-10 min.) Plate and enjoy!
