The Coffee Shop Review
September 6, 2013
The Coffee Shop is a quaint cafe in Gilbert known for its coffee and cupcakes. The chocolate marshmallow cupcakes were featured on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, and its coffee and brunch dishes have received rave reviews.
The cupcake selection changes daily and when I saw there was a coconut cupcake, I knew I had to try it. When I looked closer I noticed the top of the cupcake was covered with edible pink glitter, which just made me more excited about trying this cupcake.
The coconut flavor was delicious and the icing was very smooth, and I thought it had a hint of almond in it, which made it different from other coconut cupcakes I’ve tasted. The cake part was very rich, similar to pound cake and it was very filling.
I highly recommend visiting The Coffee Shop for a cupcake; it was the best cupcake I have ever eaten. Before this visit, my favorite cupcakes were from Magnolia’s Bakery in New York, but in my opinion, The Coffee Shop’s cupcakes top Magnolia’s.
The Coffee shop has indoor and outdoor seating, and would be a great place to meet with friends or to take your laptop to get some work done.
