This recipe makes about 18 mouth-watering chocolate treats. They are perfect for the holidays and work great as a last-minute gift, Christmas party snack, or offering for Santa overnight.

Ingredients:

  • 1 16-pack of Oreos
  • 8oz cream cheese
  • 1 bag of white chocolate chips
  • sprinkles (optional)
  • 16 mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

Directions

  1. Crush the Oreos. To do this, you can use a food processor, or put the Oreos in a Ziploc bag and use a rolling pin to bash them.
  2. Dump the crushed cookies into a bowl. Mix in the cream cheese.
  3. Roll the mixture into balls with a diameter of about 1 inch. Put Oreo balls into the freezer for 20 minutes.
  4. Melt the white chocolate chips.
  5. Remove the truffles from freezer and coat each in white chocolate.
  6. Add sprinkles if desired. Be sure to do this before the chocolate has hardened.
  7. Finish off the truffles by putting a mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup upside down on each truffle.

If you are feeling creative, you can try different ways to decorate the truffles, like different chocolates or colored chocolate. Adding different toppings can encourage some creativity, too. You can break a pretzel stick in half to use as mini antlers, and chocolate chips as eyes to make a reindeer. The possibilities are endless with this simple recipe!
