Five-Minute Snacks

Although a bag of chips might be an easy alternative, some want the luxury of a homemade treat. These snacks will provide you happiness in 5 short minutes.

1: Cinnamon Popcorn

This cinnamon popcorn recipe is ready in minutes and it tastes delicious.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Make ordinary popcorn. 
  2. Melt the butter and pour over the popcorn. 
  3. Combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl. 
  4. Add the mixture to the popcorn and mix it in.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

2: Microwave Potato Chips

Ingredients:

  • 1 potato
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Wash the potato and cut off both ends.
  2. Cut the potato into slices about ⅛ inch thick. I personally used a mandolin for ease.
  3. Next, combine the potato slices and vegetable oil into a bowl and mix it.
  4. Add parchment paper on your microwave plate. Arrange the potato slices on a single layer so they don’t overlap.
  5. Cook the potatoes for about 3 minutes in the microwave.
  6. Remove the chips and season with salt.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

3: Mint Smoothie

This mint smoothie is delicious and healthy, and can be made in less than 5 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ pitted avocado 
  • ½ cup fresh baby spinach
  • ¼ teaspoon pure peppermint extract
  • 5 pitted Medjool dates
  • 1 to 2 large handfuls of ice

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend on until smooth. Enjoy!

3- Cake In A Mug

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons milk 
  • 1 ½ tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder in a microwave mug.
  2. Mix in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  3. Microwave for about 1 minute.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
