Marvel has developed yet another successful action-thriller, entitled “Guardians of the Galaxy.” Released on Aug. 1, the movie starring Chris Pratt (Peter Quill), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), and Dave Bautista (Drax), along with the voices of Vin Diesel (Groot), and Bradley Cooper (Rocket), is a sensational masterpiece. “Guardians of the Galaxy” tells the story of five ragtag criminals who, against all odds, attempt to rescue the world from the evil fate of Ronan, a powerful, rogue enemy of the Xandarians.

Throughout the two-hour run-time, the characters become incredibly complex and developed, building strong and ever-lasting relationships along the way. The main characters go through a transformation, from being the most unlikely group of protectors to the only ones capable of the heroic feat. Their ability to establish such a relationship is a representation of how a few completely unrelated, indifferent, and arguably self-centered individuals can be united towards a common goal — and discover who they are and their purpose throughout the journey.

From the opening scenes, the viewer is engulfed in the emotional state of mind and circumstances that are the premise for the entire plot. Accompanied with extraordinary visual effects and a dynamic soundtrack, that includes classic hit songs like “Hooked on a Feeling” by Blue Swede, this movie is sure to amaze. For those who crave action adventure movies, with a splash of science fiction and drama, “Guardians of the Galaxy” is a must see.
