With tryouts over and conditioning just getting started, the Horizon Honors varsity girls’ basketball team is preparing for their first scrimmage on Nov. 22 against Scottsdale Christian. Currently, the team is, ”studying plays and giving [their] all in practice so we can get the best results,” explained senior Bethany Tsai. Tsai, along with senior Rachel Irons, are very hopeful for a successful season as they lead the girls varsity team as captains. Irons feels “ecstatic and pumped to see how the team plays together on the court.”

Coach Nate Agostini is certain that the team will strive under the leadership of Irons and Tsai. With 18 regular season games and two tournaments, many believe that the Eagles will top their 11 victories from last year. With many young and talented players, the team is looking forward to an amazing season.
