Kate Henning, Manager and Editor of Student Opinions

Kate Henning is a senior at Horizon Honors and has been in journalism for all of four years of her high school career, this being her second as an editor for The Horizon Sun. She is the youngest of four, around 20 years apart from her oldest sibling. Her favorite subject in school is English, mainly because she enjoys writing, which is the reason why she joined journalism in the first place. Henning has been in the Granny Square club since it was created and this year, she is excited to lead it. Outside of school, Henning loves to write stories and poems, play Roblox with friends, and most of all, sing. She has been singing ever since she was three years old. Henning is a big animal lover, from fur and paws to feathers and claws and she has a mini schnauzer at home named Tucker. Henning is also a big foodie and will gladly try anything new, so it’s hard for her to have a favorite food. She is glad to be back in journalism and ready to work for The Horizon Sun for the last time.
