It’s that time of the year when most students forget what day it is and sleep in until noon. With this easy and inexpensive DIY, you can make your own colorful calendar, which can help you remember if it’s Monday or Wednesday.
Materials:
- 12” x 16” picture frame
- 35 paint swatches of a variety of colors
- Tape
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Black whiteboard marker
Steps:
- If your paint swatches are connected with white lines, cut off the white lines and lay out the swatches in the same color order they came in. If not, then begin the next step.
- Measure one paint swatch into a small square or rectangle.
- Cut every other swatch into the same shape by using the first one as a guide.
- Open the picture frame and use the back of the paper (picture) inside as the background.
- Arrange your paint swatches on the paper so it has seven columns and five rows. You can arrange the colors in any way you’d like.
- Once you like your arrangement, put tape on the back side of each shape and put them in place.
- Put the paper back in the picture frame with the colorful side facing out.
- Take your whiteboard marker and write the month at the top, the days of the week above each column, and the date in each corner.
- After each month is done, all you have to do is get a damp cloth, wipe down the glass, and re-write the month’s information.
