Horizon Honors is known for their great clubs, and recently they have added a bunch. One of the newest ones is Critical Thinking Club. This club is focused on getting your brain thinking with riddles, puzzles, paradoxes, and more. The club is sure to give your brain some healthy exercise and some friendly competition amongst your friends. I interviewed the president of the club, seventh grader Michael Duqua, and this is what he had to say about the club:

The Horizon Sun: What made you interested in mind puzzles?

Michael Duqua, seventh grader: They’re just simply fun.

The Sun: What about these puzzles do you love?

MD: They help you with different correlations.

The Sun: What made you want to turn this interest into a club?

MD: I just thought it’d be fun to help other people with them and it was a fun, unique club.

The Sun: What is your favorite part about this club?

MD: It’s not really a club you would forget to go to because it’s so unique.

The Sun: Do you make the puzzles or do you find them on the internet?

MD: I find them on the internet.

The Sun: Do you ever plan on making your own puzzles for the club?

MD: I think that may be a possibility in the future.

The Sun: Could you talk about some things planned for the club?

MD: Occasionally we will solve physical puzzles and watch the show “Brain Games.”

This club meets every Tuesday from 2:35 to 3:00 in room 108. This club seems to be promising and I suggest you try it out.
