Gratitude

There are many things in my life that I am grateful for. Especially during the times that we are all going through, it is good to remind ourselves that we have many special things that we take for granted. I am grateful for my parents, my friends, the school that I go to, the park next to my house, and my bird that always sings to me. But one thing I am especially thankful for is my sisters.

My little sister, Zainab, does drive me crazy but she also helps me laugh when I’m feeling down. When I want to be alone she lets me know that she doesn’t care what I think and stays with me. During the quarantine lockdown, I didn’t feel very bored with Zainab constantly playing with her toys and singing at the top of her lungs.

My older sister Serene, while more mature, still does help me in her own way. She is also there for me when I need to talk or complain about things going on in my life. Serene is a fabulous cook and will constantly just whip out some delicious snack she’s prepared. I don’t have to go to the store for clothes when I have her closet to go through. She also is there to empty the dishwasher so I don’t have to do it. Both of my sisters have helped to keep me sane in their own ways, during the crazy times we’re going through and I hope everyone had someone they are grateful for.
