Despite the ordinary connotation of greasy, fat fast food, it can also be healthy.

Fast food can be very unhealthy. However, there is fast food that is fairly healthy, as well as fast food restaurants that have healthy options. Which restaurant and fast food dish is the healthiest option? Image Courtesy of, Deals Plus.

According to Taste of Home, Taco Bell is by far the healthiest fast food restaurant option because of these reasons:

  • Taco Bell reduced sodium across the menu by 15% since 2008, with a push to have a total 25 percent reduction by 2025.
  • The restaurant has removed artificial flavors and colors and replaced them with natural alternatives.
  • Taco Bell uses 100% cage-free eggs for their breakfast menu. 100% cage-free egg ingredients were introduced to the menu in 2018.
  • The fast food outlet only serves chicken raised without antibiotics in U.S. restaurants
  • Taco Bell has begun getting rid of high fructose corn syrup.

Over the past several years, Taco Bell has positioned themselves as one of the best fast food chains for healthy food, as stated by Mashed, making strides to offer customizable options across their menu for their health-conscious customers. Taco Bell’s dietician called their healthy menu “stealth health” because none of the customers could taste the difference in their food. So, whenever you need a healthier snack, Taco Bell is the place to go.

We’ll now find the healthiest fast food menu item using MDLinx. On this list, one is the healthiest item and nine is the ninth healthiest option.
