Weird McDonald’s
McDonald’s has one of the most iconic emblems in the world: the golden arches. These beloved arches can be recognized all over the world. However, one of these arches isn’t like the others, so let’s take a look at them.

Sedona is known for its stunning red rock landscape surrounding the area, which means it would only be right for the McDonald’s there to be just as stunning. In an interview with ABC15, Cari Meyer, Senior Planner of the Department of Community Development for the City of Sedona, stated that “someone suggested it would be interesting if they did something other than golden arches to fit in with the identity that the city decided to establish.” The team thought this would be a creative idea, and the owner of the McDonald’s establishment was happy to comply with this idea for blue as an alternative color for the arches.
People all over the United States have expressed mass excitement over these arches since their original creation in 1993. These arches are just one of the many other things that make Sedona so unique. In the same interview as previously mentioned, Meyer states that “when I first moved here, it’s what people brought up the most.” Funnily enough, it’s a main attraction in the beautiful city.
This McDonald’s location is truly one of a kind. However, don’t be upset when you try to order something and have to wait a half hour; this place is always packed. I traveled here myself recently, and I can definitely say that it is worth the trip.
