Cornbread is a classic Thanksgiving dish that has been a part of many family traditions for years. This recipe is based off of a recipe on Eating on a Dime
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup milk
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
Materials:
- 9-by-9 inch baking pan
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400° Fahrenheit.
- Spray the baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- Combine all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix well.
- Pour the batter into the baking pan, then let it bake for 20-25 minutes. Take out of the oven once the top is golden and an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool, then cut and enjoy.
This recipe makes nine servings, and only takes about 30 minutes to make. It is a delicious recipe for any gathering or feast.
