Then glue the end of the loops to the candle, all around it. Do not layer these petals.

Glue the ends of the strips together, making it into a loop. This creates the daisy’s petals.

Place the sticky sides of two pieces of duct tape together like before to create sheets of duct tape. Then cut the sheet into thin strips--the amount is your choice.

Repeat all around the flower, layering the petals where you like in order to create a lotus-like figure. You may have to bend the duct tape toward the outside of the candle to prevent the petals from just sticking straight up, but it should bend willingly. With that, the lotus is done!

Place two pieces of tape on top of each other, sticky sides together. Make sure you smooth out the tape so it doesn’t have any bumps or folds as it’ll ruin the look of the petal. Then take that sheet of duct tape and cut it into a teardrop shape. Repeat for as many petals as you like.

Cut out the pieces of tape the same way you did for the previous flower, making the pieces about 3-inch long as well.

There should be a sticky piece at the bottom of the folded petal, and use that to stick it onto the candle. Repeat that all around the candle, layering the tape to create more of a rose-like look. And now you’re finished with the first flower.

Take the pieces you just cut out and fold the top corners inward so the edges touch, creating a triangle-like shape.

Cut out duct tape pieces of about 3-inch for as many petals you would like to have. I did twelve, but it varies by what you think looks good.
