The Horizon Sun

Sophia Geisler, Columnist

Sophia Geisler is a seventh grader at Horizon Honors, and has lived in Arizona almost her entire life. She moved to Horizon for sixth grade, and is excited to experience her first year as a columnist for the Horizon Sun. Geisler signed up for journalism because she has always enjoyed writing essays, as well as reading and editing, and wants to pursue a career in either field journalism, psychology, or book writing. She likes to write short stories with her friends in her free time, as well as watching lots of cartoons. Geisler also enjoys playing the popular game “Among Us” with her friends over Discord, watching the group of Minecraft streamers “Dream Team,” editing videos, and creating live wallpapers for her herself and friends. In school, she enjoys subjects such as English and Global Studies. Along with that, she is also in three honors classes. Her family fosters dogs, and owns four besides that. She has two younger brothers, one attending Horizon Honors as a fifth grader, and the other too young for school. Even with such a large and loud household, she manages to find a way to dedicate most of her time in her room either doing school work or chatting with her friends over voice calls and facetime.
