Student Spotlight: Kylee Golden
A vibrant and friendly student named Kylee Golden has transferred to Horizon Honors and is joining The Horizon Sun as a columnist.

Kylee Golden, our newest columnist to The Horizon Sun, has adjusted to her new school, and I thought it was about time to learn more about her.
The Horizon Sun: What school did you go to before Horizon Honors, and why did you decide to switch?
Kylee Golden, junior: I went to Mountain Pointe and I decided to switch because I wanted something new and different.
THS: What has been your favorite part about Horizon Honors so far?
KG: I love how welcoming and kind everyone is and the fact that it is a small school.
THS: What are some of your hobbies?
KG: When I am not studying or practicing then I am either working out, hanging out with my friends and family, or binge watching “Gilmore Girls” on Netflix.
THS: What is your favorite class?
KG: My favorite class is my journalism class.
THS: Why did you choose to be in the journalism elective?
KG: I chose to be in the journalism elective because that is what I want to do after college and I have a strong passion for writing.
THS: What kind of articles would you like to write for The Sun?
KG: I would like to write sports articles, since that is what I know and what I love.
THS: What sports do you play?
KG: I play lacrosse for Desert Vista.
THS: What are your plans for the future?
KG: I plan on playing lacrosse in college and majoring in Journalism with a minor in communications. Once I graduate I want to then become a sports journalist.
