Haylee Haupt, Columnist

Haylee Haupt is a junior in her fifth year at Horizon and is a first-year columnist. She spends most of her free time writing, filming, and taking photos of friends as well as family portraits. She also loves to lie around watching indie films while eating out of a tub of icing with a spoon. She’s a huge movie and music nerd and will give you recommendations for either, even if you don’t ask for it. You’ll often see her walking around wearing large sweaters despite the excessive heat of Arizona.

Although this is her first year in Journalism, she already feels at home and loves coming to class. Haupt’s interested in pursuing journalism or screenwriting as a career, but doesn’t want to stick to one thing her entire life. She enjoys writing about current events, entertainment, and the arts.  She can’t wait to share her work through The Horizon Sun.

Milne and Mental Health

A.A. Milne’s beloved Winnie the Pooh books have been the center of children’s lives since the 1920s, but the loveable characters have been looked at from a different perspective in recent years; from online quizzes to peer-reviewed academia, fans and even psychologists have connected each main character with a slew of disorders.
