Rafael Cruz is in seventh grade and this is his first year in Journalism. Cruz has been at Horizon Honors for five years. He enjoys reading, baking, and watching “The Voice.” Cruz has a two-year-old brother named Andre and a 14-year-old sister named Maia. His favorite food is a Mexican dish called posole and his favorite animal is an otter. You will often find Cruz spending time with his family watching a movie or playing a board game. Cruz is excited to learn and grow in his writing skills this coming year and can't wait to write for The Horizon Sun.
