You’ll Go Nutty Over This Breakfast Masterpiece

Whenever you hear peanut butter, you most likely think of a PB&J, peanut butter in candy, or peanut butter with your apple slices. However, not all might realize that peanut butter can work in breakfast just as well as it does anywhere else. This peanut butter bread recipe is sure to get your mouth watering and keep you coming back for more.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • Honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Stir together first four ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Cut in peanut butter with a fork or pastry blender.
  3. Stir together egg and milk in a separate bowl.
  4. Stir egg and milk mixture into dry ingredients until moistened.
  5. Pour batter into a greased 9×5 inch loafpan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour, or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from pan immediately, and cool on a wire rack.
  8. If you’d like, drizzle honey on top of the loaf.
