Cake is a delicacy beloved by all, but often times it can be too sweet due to the frosting and other elements. This easy chocolate sour cream cake fixes that problem. The cake is perfectly moist due to the sour cream, which also balances out the sweetness. I highly recommend that people make this cake and enjoy the flavor and consistency it has to offer.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • ⅔ cups of cocoa
  • ¼ tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • ½ cup of butter
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • ⅔ cup of hot water

Instructions:

  1. In a medium bowl, sift salt, flour, baking soda, and cocoa three times.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beat well as you go.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  5. Add sour cream, vanilla, and, finally, hot water.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit in a bundt pan for 40 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
