Valentine’s Day is on its way and it’s a great opportunity to show your appreciation towards someone in your life. Whether it’s a friend, family member, or significant other, these easy DIY cards are a great way to show you care.

Finger Stamp Tree

  1. Get out your supplies. You will need paper, a sharpie or pen, a pencil, stamp pads, and your hand.
  2. Trace out your shape. I typically make a heart shaped tree but you can get creative with it.
  3. Stamp your finger on the ink pad and stamp it on the paper. Fill in your shape with thumbprints.
  4. Using your sharpie or pen, trace your shape and add details along with a message.

Tissue Paper Hearts

  1. Gather your supplies. You will need tissue paper, glue, a plate, scissors, a pencil and paper or cardstock.
  2. Trace a heart on your paper. Cut your tissue paper into tiny squares.
  3. Pour a reasonable amount of glue onto your plate.
  4. Put a square or two of the tissue paper on the end of a pencil and dip the end in glue. A little goes a long way so be careful not to dunk the entire thing in glue. Place it on the piece of paper and take out the pencil once sturdy. Repeat until the heart is filled.

Reverse Watercolor Heart

  1. Grab your materials. You will need watercolors, paper (cardstock or watercolor paper is best), masking tape, a pencil and a cup of water.
  2. Trace a heart on your paper. Cover it in masking tape.
  3. Use watercolors to paint your design. For cool effects, try to paint around the edge of the masking tape.
  4. After the paint dries, peel back the masking tape and write your message in the heart.

3D Pop Up Hearts Card

  1. Gather your materials. You will need glue, scissors, a pen or pencil and paper (I recommend using different colors)
  2. Cut out three hearts. They should be slightly small with one heart bigger than the other two. Fold one whole sheet of paper in half.
  3. Glue the hearts together side by side.
  4. Cut two extra strips of paper. Fold them in a zig zag. Glue one end of each strip to each side of the back of the main heart.
  5. Glue the other end of each strip to each side of the card. Glue the other side of the end hearts to the card. Let dry and customize!

These cards are a fun and easy way to show appreciation for those you love in your life.
