Fortunately for bruschetta enthusiasts, this delectable starter can be made in five simple steps.
Ingredients:
- 3 fresh, large tomatoes
- Sourdough bread
- 2 tsp balsamic vinegar
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt and pepper
- ½ tsp oregano
- 2 tsp pesto
- Avocado oil
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 6 provolone cheese slices
Materials:
- Medium mixing bowl
- Spatula
- Baking sheet
- Spoon
Directions:
- Cut sourdough bread into six half-inch slices and lightly cover them with olive oil. Place onto a baking sheet and toast at 350° Fahrenheit until lightly golden.
- Spread pesto onto the toasted sourdough slices, cover with provolone and mozzarella cheese, and toast until cheese is completely melted.
- Dice the fresh tomatoes and place them in a bowl, then cover them in about 2 teaspoons of balsamic vinegar. Mix thoroughly.
- Add oregano, pepper, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder into the mixing bowl and stir.
