Boys’ Soccer faces off against Valley

Boys’ soccer faced Valley Christian on Jan. 22 at Pecos and a large number of fans and parents came out to support the team.

The game began with a quick score by the  Eagles, but Valley came back with a goal as well. Both teams played strong defense and the Eagles had a few shots on goal, but neither scored. By halftime, the score was 2-1 with the Eagles in the lead. The Eagles came into the second half strong, but Valley did not relent. The game ended with a score of 4-4, and the game went into overtime. During the overtime, the Eagles suffered a number of injuries. Juniors Zach Baker and Kyle Hickie were injured as was senior Austin Howard. Neither team managed to score, and the game ended with a score of 4-4.

The last home game of the season will be on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 3:45 p.m. against Canyon State.
