Kayli Taylor is a seventh grader at Horizon Honors and is a first year columnist for The Horizon Sun. Taylor has been at Horizon Honors since 1st grade, and is excited to see what she can do with The Horizon Sun this year. Taylor lives with her parents in Ahwatukee, Phoenix, and is very excited to express her personality in journalism through writing. Outside of school, her favorite activities to participate in include athletics, baking, spending time with family and friends, and doing school work. Taylor plays sand-and-court volleyball, and also loves to work out. She is very competitive and loves working with her teammates. Taylor bakes for any special occasions, also if her Dad wants a tasty treat. She has baked many different crazy things such as a five layered cake for her Mom’s birthday with crazy designs and colors. Taylor also has weekly meetups with her family every Sunday called family dinners. A couple of times a week, she babysits her nephews. Taylor has four nephews, two brothers, and one sister. She also has 2 dogs. One is an Aussiedoodle (Australian Shepherd and a poodle mix), whose name is Brutus. The other dog is a Sheepadoodle (Old English SheepDog and a poodle mix), whose name is Sparky. Lastly, she loves to do homework and schoolwork on a daily basis. Taylor is excited to be in Journalism this school year.
