On Dec. 19, the Horizon Honors’ HS Boys’ Soccer team dominated during a home game against Florence High School, finishing with a final score of 6-0. The Horizon Honors team is currently 6-1 for the season.

Senior Connor Pendleton prepares for games by thinking about past games and what he could do better. He also listens to a lot of music the day of the game. A lot of thought and concentration goes into preparing for soccer games: “I never have to be scared because I have faith in my boys,” said Pendleton. Freshman Will Goff said, “We did a lot better than the previous games,” after the game finished.

The team hopes their win will lead them into a strong performance in their tournament over winter break. Senior Kole Powell is looking forward to the tournament. “I think we’re pretty prepared. We have speed and we have talent,” he stated.
