It’s nothing fancy, but I’d say it gives off better holiday vibes than those “Star Shower” projector things that are taking over commercial breaks. All you need is a few dollars and a spare evening. All of the materials can be bought at the dollar store in one run, except the pool noodle, since it’s not in season.

Materials:

  • An old pool noodle
  • Tinsel garlands in two different colors
  • Scissors
  • Scotch tape and duct tape
  • Ornaments
  • A crowning ornament; the centerpiece of your completed wreath

Step 1:

Take your pool noodle, cut it in half, bend it into a circle, and duct tape it in place. It doesn’t matter what color your noodle is, or what it looks like. This is just your frame, so it’s going to get covered up anyway.

Step 2:

Take your tinsel and wrap it around the pool noodle, alternating colors to create a contrasting striped pattern- similar to a festive candy cane. Tape the ends when you are finished. Make sure not to let the pool noodle show.

Step 3:

Hang some ornaments on your wreath! They can be the same color scheme as the wreath or completely different colors; it’s up to you.

Step 4:

Time for your crown jewel! This should be your biggest ornament and the centerpiece of your wreath. It can be a bow, a flower, or a decapitated Santa head (as shown above).

Step 5:

Hang your finished wreath with a pin or tape wherever you want, and enjoy the holidays!
