Winter: a time to celebrate holidays, family, presents, and cute decorations. When you think of winter, one of the first things that comes to mind is a snowman. Not only is this DIY a super cute snowman, but it’s also extremely easy, and can be made with some items around your house.

Materials:

  • Socks (white and a color of your choice)
  • Eight inches of ribbon (any color)
  • Stuffing
  • Two buttons (any color)
  • Two black and one orange beads

Steps:

  1. Take your white sock and fill it with stuffing (Leave about 1 ½ inches at the top). I used fiberfill stuffing to create the structure of the snowman.
  2. Tie the end of the sock tightly, so the stuffing stays.
  3. Take the black ribbon and tie it in the middle of the stuffed stock to make it appear more circular.
  4. Next, take your colored sock and fold it inside out and place over the top of the head, so it stretches down to the ribbon you tied in the previous step (shorter socks work better for this step). After you’ve done this, fold the end of the colored sock back over, so it’s now not inside out.
  5. This step is optional. You can use glue (I suggest a hot glue gun) and glue the hat on it or it won’t remain in place.
  6. Take the black beads and glue them onto the head. Try using a black marker to mark where the eyes are before you glue them on.
  7. Repeat the same steps for the two buttons, and then let it sit.
  8. Finally, glue the orange bead on to make the nose and you are done!
