Schlep, also known by his real name, Michael, is a Roblox YouTuber who is known to make content catching predators on the popular gaming platform Roblox, which is notorious for being unsafe for children. He started the channel after his traumatic experience of being forced into an inappropriate relationship with a Roblox administrator. On Aug. 8, 2025, Schlep’s account was terminated and was sent a cease and desist letter by Roblox who claimed he was a vigilante and “taking the law into his own hands,” according to The Times of India.
Many fans were supportive of Schlep and defending him, creating the hashtag “#justiceforschlep”. During Schlep’s rise of support, Chris Hanson, a celebrity known for his show “To Catch a Predator” on Dateline NBC, had become involved in the situation to support Schlep and his act to confront Roblox about their safety features. Many Youtubers like Steak have said they would leave the Star Program, an award ceremony for Roblox Streamers, due to the drama.
According to Schlep’s video, the CEO of Roblox, David Bazucki has made a statement claiming “Roblox is the safest place for anyone on the internet”, but some of the games and content Schlep had found proved otherwise.
On Aug. 25, 2025, Matt Kaufman, Chief Systems Officer of Roblox, had allegedly sent a second letter claiming that their intent is to keep the platform safe and would like to work with Schlep to keep him active. Schlep had called Roblox out for this email and stated they sent it out of fear due to their event RDC25 coming up showcasing Roblox’s games. Since then, many countries and states have threatened to or already have banned Roblox for not following safety guidelines. Forbes states that Roblox’s stock had fallen by 15.5%.
Two months later, on Nov. 8, 2025, Schlep made a YouTube video updating the situation and covering recent events. Schlep had sent another user to investigate a game called “Ro-social” which is based off of the former chat website Omegle. The user had gone through 100 calls and reported 36 of them had broken the community guidelines and the user had reported this to social media, which Roblox responded to by deleting the game.
Schlep had seen Roblox state that they have 100 new safety features, so to test it, he had sent another user to create a new account with all safety features activated.The user had found multiple cases of graphic content which could not be shown or described in his video. Schlep is currently working with a strong team to expose Roblox and bring justice to the many victims of this cause.
