Olivia Doyle, Columnist

Olivia Doyle is a seventh grader attending her second year at Horizon Community Learning Center. This is her first year in Horizon Honors’ journalism program, but so far she already knows she belongs here: it is her favorite class. Doyle is a native Arizonan and has grown up doing a lot of performing. Taking dance classes since she was two years old, Doyle is completing her ninth year of dance at Desert Sun Performing Arts. Yet, after a long day of performing, Doyle enjoys coming home and writing or reading quietly at home. Her interest in writing started with her love to read, especially the “Harry Potter” series by J.K Rowling. She also enjoys books by Rick Riordan, Gordan Korman, Roald Dahl, Chris Colfer, and many others who inspired her to write. When she grows up, she wants to be a teacher like her mom and write in her free time.
