Spirited Public Transportation

This year, Horizon Honors has added a “Spirit Bus” that will allow students to attend away games and support our athletes, even when they are not playing at home.

At the beginning of the school year, Horizon Honors announced that a Spirit Bus would be coming soon to transport our students to away games to support our sports teams. The Spirit Bus finally comes to Horizon Honors this quarter and will make its debut on Tuesday, Oct. 20, for the girls’ volleyball team at Chandler Preparatory Academy.

To catch a ride on the Spirit Bus, just follow these simple steps: fill out a permission slip, which is available in the front office, and return the slip with a small payment of just $8. The money covers transportation fees as well as the entrance fee to the game. High school students receive first priority to attend the athletic events, and the Spirit Bus will be available to middle school students if spaces do not fill. Students who sign up will also receive a “spirit surprise” on the day of the game. But sign up quick, as space is limited to the first 46 students who sign up!

Overall, the Spirit Bus is a great addition to what Horizon Honors already has to offer. Now our sports teams will be cheered on by their fellow students at away games, instead of just home games, and the students can make an impact by attending the games. Students who enjoy attending school athletic events will definitely be pleased with this new feature at Horizon Honors.
